David joined SCP in June 2007 and works from the Indianapolis office as a member of the Asset Management team. David is responsible for maintaining relationships with the Fund’s local real estate joint venture partners within his portfolio of properties. He is also responsible for the implementation and oversight of project business plans and the financial performance of his portfolio and he, along with the Acquisitions team, reviews and approves the acquisition proposals and underwriting assumptions for new joint venture projects.

David began his commercial real estate career in 1984 in Houston, Texas by performing property management and leasing services for a developer of multi-family and commercial real estate. David spent the first 15 years of his career in management level positions with REIT industry leaders such as Crocker Realty Trust based in Boca Raton, Florida and Indianapolis-based Duke Realty Corporation, where he maintained regional asset management responsibilities and also served as part of Duke’s acquisitions team which helped Duke grow from a $700M company in 1994 to over $8 today.

In February of 2001 David established CoreGroup Corporate Real Estate Advisors, based in Carmel, Indiana. CoreGroup provides commercial real estate brokerage and consulting services to clients on a local and national basis. In July 2003, David and his partner, Dwayne C. Isaacs, established their real estate investment company, DND Holdings, which owns and operates a small portfolio of commercial office and retail properties in Indianapolis.

HDG Mansur, with an international real estate investment fund of over $2B, sought David out in January, 2005 to build and direct their asset management group that would be responsible for all of their Funds, U.S.-based assets, growing from $300M in 2005 to over $1.2B in July 2007.

David is a native of Indiana and a graduate of Indiana University. He is a licensed Indiana Real Estate Principle Broker and holds two distinguished real estate designations: Certified Commercial Investment Manager of the Commercial Real Estate Investment Institute (CCIM) and Certified Property Manager of the Institute of Real Estate Management (CPM).

Other commitments that David currently enjoys are being a member of Indianapolis public radio, WFYI, serving as a Board Member for the Venture Club of Indiana, coaching youth sports and taking an active role in his church and community.
